Our Story
With a goal of exemplary customer service and comfortable sleep for everyone, Mancini’s Sleepworld chose to move away from furniture and concentrate on mattresses instead. Unfortunately, Carl passed away at the age of 55 from cancer. Randy Mancini, son of Carl, began to run the business.
1969
Mancini’s Sleepworld was founded in 1969 by Carl and Patsy Mancini. The flagship store, still open today, was located in Sunnyvale, California and was originally a full-line furniture store named Mancini’s Furniture.
1980
With a goal of exemplary customer service and comfortable sleep for everyone, Mancini’s Sleepworld chose to move away from furniture and concentrate on mattresses instead. Unfortunately, Carl passed away at the age of 55 from cancer. Randy Mancini, son of Carl, began to run the business.
1987
From 1987 till 2019 Mancini Sleepworld saw tremendous success under the ownership of Randy Mancini and the company expanded to 33 stores across the San Francisco Bay Area.
2020
Sun Capital Partners, Inc. (“Sun Capital”), a leading private investment firm focused on investing in market-leading companies, made an investment in Mancini’s Sleepworld with a vision to grow the company further.
